SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

April 17, 2007

PRESENT WERE: Norman Hutchins and Charles Harrison.



Reports:

Assessor.: The Assessor will be speaking to the Selectmen under New Business.

Treasurer.: Reports submitted to the Selectmen.

Town Clerk/Tax Collector.: A memo from Shirley Harrison stating that she has certified nomination papers from Jeremy Cummings, Donald Gagne and Leo M. Ruel for one position of Selectmen/ Overseer of the Poor for a three year term, Nancy C. Harrison for one position MSAD # 57 School Director for a three year term, and no candidate for the one position for MSAD # 57 School Director for a two year term. She has certified nomination papers from Paul G. Fecteau and Ronald E. Stewart for two three year budget committee members. She also gave the collections for Real Estate, Excise and Motor vehicle.

Building Insp / CEO/ Plumbing Insp.: Mike Polakewich stated that between he and Jim Roberts they are doing alright.

Ordinance Review.: The committee is meeting Monday night.



Road Commissioner.:. Maurice St. Clair stated the roads that he had major storm damage on. He has three or four crews out working.

Regional Waste Systems Rep.: Maurice stated that there is a meeting Thursday night the 19th.

Parks and Recreation.: Lee Schatz asked about Chadborne Field, he gave the times for the Memorial Day Parade and the yard sale. He said that Spring Fling will actually be in the summer.

Conservation Committee.: Diane Raychard and Robert Atkins were present. Diane stated that the Roadside Clean-up is Saturday, May 5th .

Village Safety.: Nothing to report.

Transfer Station.: Nothing to report..

Recycling and Waste Committee.: Nothing to report.

Planning Board.: Nothing to report.

Zoning Board of Appeals.: Nothing to report.

Minutes.:

Selectman Harrison motioned to accept the minutes of April 2, 2007. Selectman Hutchins second. All in favor.

Unfinished Business.:

Selectman Harrison and Hutchins signed the appointment slip for James Dore as liaison for the Fire Department.

New Business.:

Carol Matheson spoke to the Selectmen regarding the date of completion for the revaluation of the Town. She feels to reach the July 31st deadline would be pushing it. She gave a list of things that need to be done along with the reval. She will definitely need Kim Hemingway to help her.



The Selectmen set the date for the Public Hearing for the layout of Murphy’s Way and Beaulieu Drive for May 7th. 5:30 PM at Murphy’s Way and Beaulieu at approximately 6:00 PM.



Mail.: The mail folder was reviewed.

Selectman Hutchins read the letter of award for Paula Perusse from ECO Maine.



The Purchase Requisitions and Time Off slips were reviewed and signed by the Selectmen.

Warrant:

The Selectmen approved the following amount for payroll: Gross $ 9,456.58.

The Selectmen approved the following amount for payroll: Net $ 7,466.58.



The Selectmen approved the following amount for Accounts payable: $ 350,628.84.



Selectman Hutchins motioned to adjourn at 9:08 PM. Selectman Harrison second. All in favor.
