SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

May 7, 2007

PRESENT WERE: Norman Hutchins, Roger Bergeron and Charles Harrison.



Reports:

Assessor.: A memo from Carol Matheson requesting $6,000 transfer from the Revaluation account.

Selectmen Bergeron motioned to transfer $6000.00 from the Revaluation account. Selectman Harrison second. All in favor.

Treasurer.: Reports submitted to the Selectmen.

Town Clerk/Tax Collector.: Nothing at this time.



Building Insp / CEO/ Plumbing Insp.: Mike Polakewich stated that between he and Jim Roberts are doing good.

Ordinance Review.: Nothing at this time. They will be meeting on May 14th.

Road Commissioner.:. Maurice St. Clair stated the roads from the storm damage have been repaired with the exception of Ruth Lane and Hanson Lane. A discussion about the brush chipped on Shore Road.

Regional Waste Systems Rep.: Maurice stated that single stream is in effect so the town can start utilizing that.

Parks and Recreation.: The only thing for Parks and Rec is a purchase order requisition for Dolly & Me Tea Party for $100.00.

Conservation Committee.: Calen Colby was present and updated everyone on the Roadside Cleanup. He stated that they have been working on the Water Extraction application and should be done in another week. Maurice St. Clair suggested that he meet with the Ordinance Review Committee to discuss any changes.

A discussion regarding Town owned land.

He also stated that they need three more members. A contact person world be Diane Raychard.

Village Safety.: Nothing to report.

Transfer Station.: Steve Marble said that he prefers to wait on the single stream because BBI doesn’t like to haul on Saturdays. The Selectmen said to give it a try.

A discussion on the storage units.

Selectman Bergeron motioned to purchase the two reconditioned storage units. Selectman Harrison second. All in favor.

Steve stated that he needs the fill first.

Recycling and Waste Committee.: Steve Marble said they meet next week.

Planning Board.: Nothing to report.

Zoning Board of Appeals.: Nothing to report.

Minutes.:

Selectman Harrison motioned to accept the minutes of April 17, 2007. Selectman Hutchins second. All in favor.

Unfinished Business.:

The Selectmen will be setting up a meeting with Bill Dale on Frost Road.

New Business.:

A discussion regarding the postage machine.

The Selectmen reviewed the Building and Maintenance Committee applications. Due to the number of applications, the Selectmen decided to have a seven member Board instead of five members.

Selectman Bergeron motioned to appoint Ed Turner, Alyce Swan, Jim McCadden, and Tim Braun for a 3 year term and Victoria gavel, Paul Fecteau, and Leo Thibodeau for a two year term. Selectman Harrison second. All in favor.



The Selectmen set the date for the Public Hearing for the layout of Murphy’s Way and Beaulieu Drive for May 7th. 5:30 PM at Murphy’s Way and Beaulieu at approximately 6:00 PM.

Mail.: The mail folder was reviewed.

The Purchase Requisitions and Time Off slips were reviewed and signed by the Selectmen.

Warrant:

The Selectmen approved the following amount for payroll: Gross $ 5,418.79.

The Selectmen approved the following amount for payroll: Net $ 4,289.46.



The Selectmen approved the following amount for Accounts payable: $ 170,505.37.
